Carlo Collodi, pseudonym of Carlo Lorenzo Filippo Giovanni Lorenzini (Florence, November 24, 1826 – Florence, October 26, 1890), was an Italian writer and journalist. He became famous for being the author of the novel The Adventures of Pinocchio. Story of a Puppet, often known simply as Pinocchio, which became one of the great classics of world literature and has been translated into 240 languages.
