Giuseppe Caliceti has been working as a primary school teacher in Reggio Emilia for over thirty years. He wrote many books for children, young and adult readers. In 2003 he was awarded Elsa Morante - L’Isola di Arturo prize. He is founder and in charge of Baobab - Casa della letteratura italiana per ragazzi, an association from Reggio Emilia that organizes lectures of the main Italian literature authors to students ranging from kindergarten to primary, secondary, high school and college.
