Katsumi Komagata

Katsumi Komagata was born in 1953 in Shizuoka (Japan) and studied Graphic Design at Nippon Design Centre. After collaborating with design studios, television and communication agencies in the United States, first in Los Angeles and then in New York, he returned to Tokyo, where he founded his graphic design studio, One Stroke, in 1986. In 1990, after the birth of his daughter Ai, Katsumi Komagata created the Little Eyes series, one of his most famous and innovative works, consisting of wordless books to encourage parent-child interaction.

Giulia Ceccarani

Born in Terni in 1984, Giulia Ceccarani graduated in Industrial Design at the Istituto Statale d’Arte and later in Scenography at the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome.
After taking courses at Ars in Fabula in Macerata with Simone Rea and Anna Forlari, she began illustrating and writing books for children. She holds workshops for children and adults and participates in Contemporary Art exhibitions.
Ranging from graphics to illustration, from murals to mixed media works, she always reasearches a personal and unique style made up of multiple forms.

Francesco Spampinato

Francesco Spampinato is a full professor of Contemporary Art History at the Department of Arts of the University of Bologna. He conducts research in the fields of contemporary artistic practices and visual studies, with a focus on the relationship between contemporary art, media and technology, and on collective dynamics, electronic culture and the capacity of art to produce agency in urgent matters such as environmental issues.

Gilles Baum

Gilles Baum was born in Mulhouse (France) in 1975. After studying Maths, he became a primary school teacher and, later, a children's author (he wrote his first books for young readers in the privacy of his kitchen). Today he lives, teaches and writes in Alsace.

Paul Cox

Born in Paris in 1959, Paul Cox is a self-taught artist and graphic. In parallel to painting, he has produced children's books, posters, sets, installations, games, logos and much more. He is passionate about printing techniques, in particular lithography and silkscreen printing. In 1999, he won a prize at the Bologna Children's Book Fair for his book History of Art.

Ilaria Tagliaferri

Ilaria Tagliaferri lives near Florence. She has worked for more than twenty years in the Campi Bisenzio Library and is the director of the magazine LiBeR. Since she was little, she always loved reading. She has three cats, one of which is very old, and a lot of picture books. She also likes singing, and whenever she can, she does it.

Mario Onnis

Mario Onnis nasce in Sardegna dove frequenta il Liceo Scientifico e si laurea in Lingue. Dopo aver seguito dei corsi con Francesca Ghermandi, Carll Cneut, Roberto Innocenti e Pia Valentinis si diploma al Master Ars in Fabula. Ha pubblicato in Italia e all'estero e collabora dal 2015 con la scuola di illustrazione Ars in Fabula di Macerata.

Arianna Giorgia Bonazzi

Arianna Giorgia Bonazzi (Udine, 1982) made her debut in 2007 with the book Les adieux by Fandangolibri. Since then, she has published short novels and children's books, such as Le rime di Mariù by Mondadori. Currently, she collaborates on the editorial projects of Emergency and Triennale Milano, teaches at the Holden School and writes about her favorite things in the «Rivista Studio» and other magazines.

Elisabetta Tosoni

Elisabetta Tosoni è nata nel 1975. Nel 2002 consegue una laurea in Scienze Biologiche presso l’Università La Sapienza di Roma. Dal 2003 fino al 2023 consolida e realizza il suo interesse per la biologia, ecologia, conservazione e gestione dei grandi carnivori, occupandosi a tempo pieno di attività di ricerca e gestione su orso e lupo, diversificando la sua esperienza in contesti nazionali e internazionali, in collaborazione con Enti Parco e Università.

Federico Gemma

Appassionato di natura fin da piccolo, Federico Gemma ha sempre disegnato animali. Dopo la laurea in Biologia è riuscito da subito a combinare le sue due passioni lavorando come illustratore naturalistico. Ha realizzato disegni e tavole per ogni tipo di pubblicazione naturalistica e scientifica. All’attività di illustrazione vera e propria affianca quella di pittore, esponendo in Italia e all’estero e vincendo alcuni premi legati alla Wildlife Art. Dal 2001 espone a Londra con la Society of Wildlife Artists, di cui è membro.
