Alicia Baladan

Alicia Baladan

Alicia Baladan was born in 1969 in Uruguay where she lived until she was 11. After attending high school in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, she moved to Italy and graduated at Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera, Milan. Her work has been exhibited in international shows and animation film festivals. From 2008, she’s being focusing on illustration. Currently, she lives and works in Brescia. ⁠

Carll Cneut

Carll Cneut
Carll Cneut was born in 1969 in Roeselare (West-Flanders). He studied Graphic Design at the Saint-Lucas Institute in Ghent and began his working career in an advertising agency. In 1996, he illustrated his first poetry volume: Varkentjes van marsepein. Since then, Carll has illustrated more than twenty books, which have been translated into just as many foreign languages and have received several international prizes.

Marina Girardi

Marina Girardi
Marina Girardi writes comics and illustrated songs. She was born in the mountains surrounding Belluno, Northern Italy, in 1979 and she graduated at Bologna’s Academy of Fine Arts in Comics and illustration. Her comic Kurden People, published by Comma 22 Editore, was awarded Premio Komikazen Fumetto di Realtà 2009 and was translated in French by L’Agrume Edition. She also wrote Appennino (2010) and Tutta discesa (2013), an illustrated journal of a bike tour along Appennino centrale.

Sergio Ruzzier

Sergio Ruzzier
Sergio Ruzzier spent his childhood in Milan, playing, among other things, at “chi muore meglio” (who dies better). He’s still alive and lives in New York, where he writes and illustrates picture books. In 2011 Maurice Sendak selected him for the exclusive Sendak Fellowship. Besides A letter for Leo, his books Rimasugli and Una vita d'artista have been published in Italy, both by La Grande Illusion. 

Nooshin Safakhoo

Nooshin Safakhoo

Nooshin Safakhoo è nata nel 1980 in Iran, dove vive e lavora come illustratrice e grafica. Si è diplomata alla University of Art di Teheran. Dal 2009 al 2012, ha ottenuto riconoscimenti ed è stata selezionata in più edizioni della mostra degli illustratori della Fiera del Libro per Ragazzi di Bologna. Nel 2013 ha vinto il premio Golden Island al Nami Island International Illustration Concours in Corea.

Antonella Toffolo

Antonella Toffolo è nata nel 1961 a Milano. Dopo il diploma artistico e la Scuola del Fumetto di via Savona, disegna illustrazioni per il “Corriere dei Piccoli”, Mondadori ed Elemond. Nel 1992, collabora con Piero Ventura a I vestiti per la collana. Le tracce dell'uomo. Pubblica i primi fumetti con il gruppo Struwwelpeter nelle antologie Pierino Porcospino (1995 e 1996). Una sua storia compare nell'antologia internazionale Comix 2000 (L'association).
